Husqvarna or Husky as they are affectionately known have been a dominant maker of motocross motorcycles for some time now.
This Swedish firm began life producing armaments in the 19th century. They diversified into motorcycles very early on in 1903. The firm saw racing successes in the 1930s with it's 350cc and 500cc v-twin engined machines. When racing on tarmac came along Husqvarna decided to stick with bikes designed off road riding.
In modern times the company has had successes in all areas of off road motorcycle competition. In 1986 Husqvarna was moved from it's native Sweden after being bought by Italian maker Cagiva.
